CPR for Adults, Children, and Infants

Our first aid courses are designed to provide participants with essential medical knowledge and practical skills, empowering them to confidently respond to emergency situations and offer critical assistance when needed.

Purpose of the course:

To provide general knowledge of basic first aid principles to enable the learner to cope with minor casualties until expert help arrives.

Target group:

Employees who do not have to comply with the OHS Act 85 of 1993, but wish to have a general knowledge of first aid, school children, and candidates with a low literacy.

Course outline:

  1. The Management of an Emergency Scene
  2. The Primary Survey
  3. CPR techniques for Adult casualties or CPR techniques for Child and Infant casualties
  4. Foreign body airway obstruction (Choking)
  5. Bleeding
  6. Wounds and burn wounds
  7. Fractures
  8. The contents of a First Aid Kit

    ⭄ Entry Requirement: None

    ⭄ Language: English and Afrikaans
    Certificate: Certificate of attendance issued. Retraining is recommended after 2 years
    ⭄ Duration: 7 hours
