First Aid Course
First Aid Training Level 2
Purpose of the course:
(Unit Standard 120496)
To build on the knowledge acquired in First Aid Level 1 and to enable learners who perform a task in the outdoors as this course has modules on snake & other animal bites as well as environmental casualties such as heat stroke and exposure to extreme cold.
Target group:
Candidates with a valid First Aid Level 1 certificate, field guides, tourist guides and employees working in the outdoors (construction, nature conservation etc).

⭄ Entry Requirement: ABET Level 4 (Equivalent to Grade 9/ Old Standard 7) and Mathematical Literacy at ABET Level 4
⭄ Language: English or Afrikaans
⭄ Certificate: Certificate of Competence issued, valid for 3 years.
Duration of course:
⭄ If you have a valid First Aid Level 1 certificate: 22 hours, excluding 2 hours evaluation (3 days)
⭄ If you do not have a valid First Aid Level 1 certificate: 30 hours, excluding 2 hours evaluation (4 days)
