OHS: Legal Liability

Purpose of the course:

On completion, delegates will be able to contribute to workplace arrangements for complying with safety, health, and environmental legislation. You will be able to do this by describing to others the different legal liabilities that can arise from non-compliance to motivate them to comply.

You will learn to identify the primary duties of employers and employees under relevant legislation, and the steps required to comply with them. Attain an understanding of the risk management functions contained in the applicable legislation. Lastly, you will demonstrate an understanding of the powers of the respective inspectorates to respond appropriately to government interventions.
